Starting & Stopping Your Ideal Power Engine
Move the fuel valve lever to the ON position, the fuel valve lever must be in the ON position for the engine to run.
Turn the engine switch to the ON position, the engine switch must be in the ON position for the engine to run. Turning the engine switch to the OFF position stops the engine.
Pull the starter grip from the recoil in front of the engine lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly. Return the starter grip gently, to prevent damage. Pulling the starter grip operates the recoil starter to crank the engine.
If the choke lever was moved to the CLOSED position to start the engine because it was cold, gradually move it to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.
Moving the throttle lever makes the engine run faster or slower.

Stopping Ideal Power Engine
To stop the engine, simply turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
Use the following procedure.
- Move the throttle lever to the SLOW position.
- Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
- Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
When the engine is not in use, leave the fuel valve lever in the OFF position to prevent the carburettor flooding and to reduce the possibility of fuel leakage.
